Green Gables is the 128-year-old Queen Anne historic home of the Wells family, one of the generous benefactors who played a key role in the development of early Melbourne. At this time Green Gables needs our community members to embrace the nonprofit’s vision for this architecture and family legacy to be safeguarded. Green Gables at Historic Riverview Village, Inc. is establishing a plan to rehabilitate and restore the home under the Dept. of Interior’s rules for historic properties. This will be an ambitious endeavor where we will need the community’s assistance to be successful.
Make plans to visit the landmark Queen Anne home, Green Gables, built in 1896 by William and Nora Wells. You can relax and enjoy the scenic property situated on the Indian River Lagoon.
